Every one in my family renewed the passport during the process. We didn't inform USCIS. But give latest passport info in each stage in the forms.

I applied for I-485 during in July 07 and have I-140 approved.
I renewed my passport last week, new passport number is different.
Should I inform USCIS about this change?? is there any process/form for this?

My lawyer siad it is not necessary to have either W2 or Tax return documents for I485. I read the filing instruction about 4-5 times and did not find this requirement.
I did not send mine. Hope it's not a problem.

Received I140 Approved Documents using FOI Act.
I use to suffer from my rough Employer (Desi), who never used to give me any of my Immigration Documents including Approved H1 dosument. I asked him to give atleast my H1 document so that I can go for Visa Stamping. He is such a bloody rough and he wants me to stay with him as bonded labor. I used to beg my Salary every month and never use to get my payment what I need to receive.
Meanwhile, I heard about FOI (Freedom of Information Act) and applied for it in 7 months back for the Approved I140 Documents. I applied for it and forget. To my surprise I received all the I140 related Approved documents yesterday evening. I have already changed that rough Employer without Approved H1 Notice. Now, I am very happy person working for a nice and decent Employer.
Thanks to all supporters/friends who work in these forums providing Information for the benefit of other people.

My fiancee is a MS student and currently has student loan in India being charged at 13.5%. I am wondering if there is any loan that i can get here with a lower interest rate to repay off the one in india.
I would appreciate any pointers or suggestions here.
If your fiancee is still in the school, you can probably apply for Alternate/Private Student Loan. These loans are offered by most of the banks based on the credit score and don't have crazy transaction fees and APRs as credit card and other balance transfer offers. The interest rate is variable and typically tied with the prime and repayment period is around 15-20 years. AGain it depends on what you choose. The good part is that the repayment does not start until your fiancee graduates and the interest you pay on the loan is tax deductible. No need to itemize while you file taxes.

Thanks all. I called my lawyer, and she mentioned that there have been specific cases of the Neb Service Center rejecting I485 applications for internists while they are doing fellowships. I guess my plan would be to find a 'full time' position working a couple of nights a week in the same city where I am working as a fellow, and use that as proof of ongoing full time internist work.
I am not sure if they need just a letter, or a w2s also. I guess 'full time' is a very arbitrary word, and can be applied to more than 28-32 hrs a week, which is very easily doable.
Full time would be the standard definition of 40 hrs per week. It is clearly defined in the J1 waiver regulations for physicians and will likely be extended to the labor based applications as well since adjudicators are very familiar with the J1 waiver and NIW physician cases. Ultimately you have to decide whether the risk is worth it. W-2s as well as paystubs, as well as employers letters attesting to the scope of, and the full time nature of the work are often requested.

Its not abt H1-B abuse, its abt the way it was brought up. Instead of looking into his own house (USCIS and DOL) Sen.Durbin held Indian companies responsible and almost started bashing them. Little did he anticipate that they will come back in this way.

Now, IT has become a virtual industry with a pretty much open labor market. Professionals making Rs.50000 ($1200) are competing with those making $5000 a month. US politicians made a classic judgement error in 90's. Now, protectionist measures are being brought in by the very same people who championed globalization for a decade.
The letter puts things in perspective for sen. Durbin. It seems to carry a veiled warning about backlash of these protectionist measures on the US companies doing business in India. Starting from McDonalds,subway,coke (now even Walmart) to Ford, GM, IBM, Pfizer, Merck, Novartis, Abott, J&J, JP Morgan, Bank of America and many more have huge business interests in India. The size of Indian market totals upto atleast 0.8 billion human individuals with need for housing, auto, computers, electronics, healthcare, finance, consumer products etc. Losing an inch of it can make an international co. nervous.
As far as Indian consumers go they now have options- British, German, Japanese, French and now even the Indian companies.
Durbin tried to scare a cat, unfortunately for him it turned out to be a big wild cat- aTiger.

US has been in number 1 in the past, moved to 2nd spot for a couple of years, in the world competitiveness rankings. For the first time, the US moved to the 6th Spot in the world rankings by the world economic forum (Europe based Institution). The main reason was because of the huge current account deficit and negative savings (mainly federal deficit) which is a threat to the US competitiveness. China moved down due to corruption etc. India moved up but any further movement will depend on structural reforms, especially controlling the huge public service and red-tape and a creaking infrastructure - power, roads, ports, water supply - all of which are run by the government. The health services in large parts of India is dismal and so is the public education system (K-12). With the left firmly controlling the ruling party, deregulation is slow and insipid, and it is the private sector which is basically contributing to the GDP and Competitiveness. I agree. Remember there were two backlog elimination centers and the processing from Philly center was slow. So a person with a later 2004 EB2 PD application and whose LC was cleared from Dallas must have got his GC where as someone with an earlier PD was stuck in Philly. Most of the Dallas guys got their GC around that time.
That is so not true. Even though Dallas was faster than Philly, it only cleared labor for 2003 and earlier filers in 2005. Essentially Dallas mostly cleared only those cases in 2005 which were stuck at regional and not state level. My labor was cleared in late 2006.
