Anybody has experiences with this setup? Do you use Mini display to vga or hdmi?:D
Mini Display, same set up I am using with my 2007 BMB hooked up to an ergonomic arm. When the BMB dies, (if ever), I will mount a 27" ACD on the arm and use it with the 11" MBA, for now the MBA and my iPad are my couch buddies, (along with my 18 month old Chocolate lab Reilly)

Open Address Book preferences, click accounts and select synchronize with Google and configure. After that, open isync application, and click sync all. That is all you need :)

I have an iPhone 3G (not jailbroken), and I run Windows. Is there any way to save a voicemail from the iPhone to my computer? I thought I read there is Mac software that can extract voicemails from iTunes backups, is there anything for Windows?
ive only seen how to do it if your jailbroken

Hi guys,
The ACD 27" has 3 cables. a USB cable, displayport and also a magsafe.
So this might be a stupid questionnnn...
but once the ACD is plugged into the MacPro.. does the magsafe just hang there for no reason?
I know theyre primarily designed for the MacBook Pros.. but people who have iMacs and MacPros are left with an ugly hanging cable?
Must look pretty ugly.. its not like Apple at all..
from apple.com:
MagSafe connector.
The LED Cinema Display includes a MagSafe connector that powers and charges your MacBook, MacBook Pro, or MacBook Air. The connector sits on your desk, ready and waiting. No need to unwind the cord to the power adapter that came with your notebook. Leave it exactly where it is, in your bag.
There's nothing to charge in the MacPro server.

I use an Apple Pro Keyboard on my PC because I found it to be of much higher quality than the Logitech Keyboard it replaced. The keys feel much better and it looks nicer too. Since the Keyboard frame is clear I decided to put a Red Cold Cathode behind it so the edges glow red like optic fiber. :D

Does anyone know if the shipping dates will get updated before they switch over to "prepared for shipping" or whatever it is?
In other words, is it possible that next week the shipping date will get bumped up a week or two, or one day will we just find that the shipment is being sent out ahead of schedule?

I got handbrake, but I don't see the option to customize the resolution. I'm probably just over looking it.

Actually you can accomplish this through Javascript. Take a look here:
http://blog.deconcept.com/code/overflowsafari/overflowsafari.html
It took me a while to get it working thanks to my JS stupidity but it does work.

Ah. Well, silly me. I haven't done a firmware update in years and I absent mindedly force-quit Software Update last time I ran it (a bad habit I know)...there must have been a firmware update in there somewhere.
Thanks man.

this is not the best sub forum for this type of question but you can try reducing the burning speed and make it burn more reliably.

You're missing nothing, the base 21.5" is great and if you feel the need for 8gb of ram then it only costs like $40-50 for another two sticks of 2gb ddr3.

The late '05s have much better airport reception than the older the older G5s without the built in antennas.
$50 seems like a good deal. The combo card itself is dirt cheap, it's just that riser card that is hard to find which is why they are more expensive.

Will have to wait until I finish copying some files so that I can try this copypath application, however I do have another question I noticed when i try to add the path of the WD Mybook drive via the Serviio program add local path, the WD Mybook which is displayed on the Mac desktop as Public, opens up with something in it called dropbox, yet there are no files on that drive with that name, I have many other files, and none of them are recognised in this path, any ideas why this should be the case?

I've gone with the MBA ultimate 13". Great computer. Transfered Fusion 3.1 Windows 7 (32bit) VM from white macbook smoothly. Problem - can't use devices like superdrive, isight etc. VMTools installed OK. Bootcamp drivers seem to be the issue. It thinks I have version 3.1 but I can't find this anywhere so suspect it is not installed. Software updater says should update to 3.2 but as this is incremental it can't install over the missing 3.1.
I'm sure there is a solution somewhere... Searching on the web hasn't given any answers as these seem to require a bootcamp partition. I am not using a bootcamp partition (and even if I wanted to, I couldn't as I have partitioned the start up disk and bootcamp needs an unpartitioned disk).
I've put this under MBA as it seems to be a problem specific to MBA's.

I do apologize for that.
I have two iMacs and a Mac Mini, all which shipped with MySQL installed.
Very poor generalization on my part!
Very poor generalization indeed. I've owned more than a dozen Macs over the last six years, and NONE of them had MySQL pre-installed. But then again, I only had the desktop version of OS X on my machines and not OS X Server -- OS X Server really comes with MySQL pre-installed.
But maybe you mistake MySQL with SQLite, which is what most Apple software uses as its storage engine.
Anyway -- for uninstalling MySQL from OS X, maybe this blog helps:
http://akrabat.com/computing/uninstalling-mysql-on-mac-os-x-leopard/
I also would only use the official MySQL DMG image to install the software on OS X; it can be downloaded from the MySQL website.
