The evilness of this is that it steals focus. For example, I had started typing this post before the page had finished loading, so I wound up typing in the Bing box without realizing it for a moment.
Nasty business.

I'm with Simple Mobile network. I was also made aware of the 3G disabling, but I was wondering if I still need to enter the MMS settings from Simple Mobile on my iPhone 4 while under Gevey sim activation?

Well, I checked this thread earlier at work and saw some of the removed replies. I had a feeling there would be some unhappy people considering these phones are slowly approaching commodity pricing.
Anyways, to back up Blue Velvet, this is NOT a feeler thread. I'm looking to buy when I find the right one at the right price. If somebody's not happy with the price that I think they're worth, sorry. However, this is what I'm willing to pay for a used one. Hopefully somebody here is looking to sell a used one and I hear from them.
Thanks,
Ben

stickers on cars make me cry a little inside though.
It is a Prius, so no huge loss.
I think that I might understand that FF0000, especially since I have a bright red car.

Connect the iPad to computer...when iTunes shows your iPad...in the sync options...go to the app section as stated above...there is a checkbox that says "sync all new apps" (or something like that) ...check that box... That will bring the apps you purchased or downloaded on the iPad over to iTunes on your computer where you can manage them, and therefore NOT delete them on the iPad.
Since you haven't done this yet, iTunes thinks you want to mirror what's on the computer to the iPad instead of vice versa.
Hope that made some sense.

It's strange coming from GNU/Linux to Mac OS X and it's one-way attitude.
 Most likely whatever IDE you were using on Linux is available for OS X from MacPorts.

Basically no. The 27" iMac will only accept digital input signals, not analogue.

I am in need of a new battery and
I am currently looking at this list: http://shop.ebay.com.au/_sacat/i.html?LH_ItemCondition=11&_trkparms=65%253A12%257C66%253A2%257C39%253A1%257C72%253A2386&rt=nc&_nkw=macbook+black+battery&_dmpt=AU_Laptop_Accessories&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_sop=15&_sc=1
VS
this one: http://store.apple.com/au_edu_94060/product/MA566G/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY#overview
and I am wondering if I should go with the Ebay option. I don't want to spend 200 dollars on an aging laptop, 30 bucks is more reasonable, but is it safe?
Has anyone has any experience to share? The sellers reviews have been mainly positive.

ok so i could not find a buyer for my mdd 1.25 parts after i fried the mobo. so i took a risk and bought a mobo off ebay... well the only ones they had were the fw800. and this was the model right before that. so i tought i might have to do a case mod to fit the extra fx800 port. well... i did not have to. after taking apart my computer the new mobo almost fit exactly.
only thing was the airport extream port on the board got in the way a bit..
but you can fit it. on back plastic panel where the ports are there is no space for the fw800 port. well after taking it off (to my suprise) the actually metal case was made to fit a fw800 port. looks like the older model had fw800 in mind before. (most have removed to keep cost down) and how with no mods to the actual case the board fits and works great.
now i have a working computer with fw800.. sweet... just thought you guys wanted to knw if the mobo were intrechangeable. i can post pics if anyone is intrested ...

I noticed the change to the 2D icon early today.
Got a "restart Chrome to update" alert and now it went back to the original 3D icon (which I prefer).
Did anyone experience delay in right-click?
Recently when I right click in Chrome (but not other apps), the menu pops up with a delay of around 1 second...which is quite annoying.

Hah, they poke fun, but they don't even check that the browser is Chrome for Mac, and that I couldn't use IE if I wanted to?

Good point, I only realised that when I was using my mac to view the site. Who wants IE on a mac anyway ? ;)

I agree with Jessica.
Maybe if you made a game out of it or something like,
outlet-bad=vibrate if you touch
cat-good=ding if you touch
mean cat-bad=don't touch, if you do it vibrates
stove top-bad=pass by DING
You can use this as a learning tool or make a game where you have to decide on a speed test or something. I can see some potential with something like that, not as simple as you wanted maybe, but this would appeal to a wide range of people.
I'll be expecting my 30%
Thank you. :D

So to sum it up. Netowrk 2 macs with the extreme base station while using airport to connect to a public wifi connection.
Using an AEBS is way overkill for what you are asking to do. Just get a decent gigabit ethernet switch.

Sounds like your optical drive is fubar.
There's are a few options here. You can take to apple repair and pay to get it replace which can be quite costly. You could use an external USB CD drive but this can be in convenient if you move around a lot with your MacBook. Finally you can pick up a replacement drive fro eBay or another online retailer and do the repair yourself. Its very simple and the whole process should take around 15-30 minutes depending on skill set.
Here is a guide to help you (http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Repair/MacBook-Core-2-Duo-Optical-Drive-Replacement/518/1).

I recently switched over to Safari from Camino. I love everything about Safari, except when I open 8 new tabs in a window with 9 or more tabs, the last few tabs are closed. Is there any way to stop these extra tabs from closing? It never did that in Camino.
Thanks in advance,

Hmm... Okay. Thanks for that.
Taken from the bottom of this page (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=14449), just for the record.
"Resetting the parameter RAM (PRAM) when the computer is shut down also resets the Power Manager. The following process resets both the Power Manager and the parameter RAM."
This is true for the PMU unit on the logic board but is not a full PMU reset. Resetting the PRAM does not force the battery to be polled for charge and there for does not sync the battery charge level/charge indicator.
The PMU reset will also reset the trackpad optical drive. a NVRAM reset will reset track pad, optical drive, logic board and a few other things.
On desktop units its called a SMU and does about the same thing (just no battery involved). but it does reset the computers power systems.

Just fixed the problem, ran windows update there were a couple items to be updated, come to find out I didn't have Service Pack 1 installed. I assume that was the culprit, since most MS products don't really work as intended until SP1.
Pings just fine now without having to mount.
