The processing times for I-140 applications in the TSC show no change since the last update. Are there any changes in the NSC processing times ?
I haven't been following the I-485 times for a while since my priority date (EB3/ Mar 2004) is not current and I'm more keen on the I-140 approval for now.

Thanks. Can anyone please help me in understanding how long does it take to get EAD aprroval from the starting point for EB1,EB2 and EB3 category. I am interested only in EAD approval at this point.

EB2 - 3-2 years
EB3 - 10 - 20 years....
You cannot use the experience gained with your current employer...so you are coming under EB3 and its a long & treacherous journey for you. Take part in advocacy day on Apr 4 & 5 th in DC.

If your company is paying why not go to India. If you have all the necessary paperwork, proper letters and your company is willing to provide any other documents like tax returns etc if needed stamping in India would be easier (they always prefer you go to your home country I guess its easier for them to evaluate and process your case) that being said I have had my H1 stamping done in Canada (because the company that I worked for didn't want me to be away from work more than a week), I had two done in India (both were a breeze) I have never been to Mexico for stamping so

Hi,
I had one A# on my EAD (during OPT), as xxx-xxx-xxx, which was expired after OPT was end. Then, after I filed my I485 application, I obtained another A# showed on I-797C form, as Axxxxxxxxx. So I am quite comfused that which one is my current A#. Does A# change with our status? Thanks.

My friend said that opening an SR could lead to a higher probability for an RFE. Is that the case? I know it is not possible to scientifically prove it but is there any anecdotal evidence of it?

it will at some point of time but not in this months bulletin or in the near future. Folks , for someone with March 2004 Eb3 India PD , is converting to Eb2 really going to help in any way at all ? Please suggest.

I came here with my dad and mom. My dad's I-485 was denied because his I-140 was revoked. He appealed but it was dismissed. With the principle application denied, everything for me and my mom was also denied. Because I was just a child I really had no idea what was going on. However flipping through all the family documentations I don't see any deportation orders, I only see something that says we no longer has a valid non immigrant status and the district office has jurisdiction over issues of departure.
So my question is, and I realize this might be a stupid question, but what is my status in the U.S.? Am I an illegal immigrant?
Under what VISA did your parents enter US in the first place? When I-485 was denied, was the VISA based on which they had entered still valid? If yes, how long was it valid afterwards? What was your own VISA when you entered (even if you were a child, you would have your own passport and a dependent VISA)?
Am I deport-able? Am I visa overstayed? Since I did came here legally.
and with that status, is there anything I can do? Now that I am over 18 can I apply for visa/green card by myself? Through jobs or student visa? And what is the 3/10 reentry bar and how will it affect me?
I think I am one of the dream act students that failed today, and with that failed in the senate, I really dont know what to do. I know I might not deem to have the right to ask these questions, but any advice or help I would be grateful.

I am not really sure about the chances of such bills passing. Having an upper limit of 20k per year, similar to the quota for Master's in H1-B, might have relatively better chances of passing. Otherwise, all the anti-immigrant nuts from alipac and numbersusa will derail everything even before anything hits the discussion level...
btw, i read that the alipac founder was called lots of names in a NC newspaper...(details on their web-site)..that sounded like sweet nectar to me...he deserves all of it and more....the way he and all his honchos in their forum ban and bully everyone (not just illegal, but legal would-be immigrants)...just desserts!!!

If ur case is pending more than 30days from the processing time shown on there website ur lawyer or employer can open a service request(SR).they will send u the decision usually within30days from the date of SR.
Quizzer rd is dec2006 EB2. But there site shows they r processing feb2007 case so after 30 days his lawyer opened a SR and got response that what he meant.

Mine also filed in DEC'2006; but no news yet.
