I just bought a new Ford Escape last month. Built in Kansas City, MO with 90% domestic parts content by a U.S. company. You can't get much more made in the U.S.A. then that.
The only modern electronics product I own that was "Assembled in the U.S.A." is a Bose Wave Music System.

These days much of the craftsmanship that used to take place in the darkroom coaxing a master print from a negative now takes place digitally. A technically well exposed frame can still produce a crappy print at the end of a less skilled artist. Conversely, technical perfection (second curtain sync, hyperfocal distancing gobbledygook) has very little to do with art, or even creativity. Great "art" these days is even being shot on a cellphone.
Both camps (the technical-crats & the ones who are blissfully unaware of the minutiae) can produce "great" work.
Many beginners suffer from the same bad pshop skills (hey, look... I can make grass grow on his head, no make that two heads) and mistakes that beginning designers can (hey look, I can make EACH letter a different color, and a different font).
All that being said, if I was teaching beginning photographers I would remove almost everything to start (camera, lens, etc.) and go primitive and start with building pinhole cameras. Then I would progress to the end point which would be post-processing. Post-processing is huge though...

By the time I was finishing up my senior work using my Nikon the school had beginning students building pin hole cameras. This helped a lot. When I showed up for my first classes, some of the other students had Hasselbad cameras. Forgetting about gear forced us to think about the frame and what was going on in there.

There is no application for iPhone in the Japanese trademark database.
There are, however, applications for iPhone dating from late September in several countries' systems: Hong Kong, Singapore, UK/EU, US. These applications have all been taken out by a mysterious US entity known as Ocean Telecom Services LLC, which gives only Corporation Trust Center of Wilmington, Delaware as its contact address. This corporation was only formed a few days before the trademark applications appeared.
(This doesn't appear to be Ocean Telecom of the UK, who don't make hardware; the trademark applications are definitely for hardware and software.)

First of all, i don't know how legit this is, but for argument sake let the OP be true.
I can see Apple giving the developers of Infinity Blade and Real Racing an iPhone with the A5 chip. Is it the iPhone 5? No. It's just an iPhone 4 + A5 chip.
The actual iPhone 5 will have much more features. Apple always does this, because at the end of the day they're a business and they will add features which they omitted from iPhone 4. To get everyone to upgrade.

I like the idea you have going here. I would like the saturation more realistic, but that's just me. Different framing and cropping come to mind. Maybe play off the differences in the textures and color, putting them closer and cropping or framing in tight. I may play with this idea when I can. I have nice oranges, but I need an apple. And the nice lighting setup you have.

In the original photo I felt the black/white line was a little too high. In your crop I like the placement a little better. I can definitely see a framed print with the tight crop -- possible a gallery wrap.
Also wondering what it would look like with the orange slightly in front of and overlapping the orange a little, then the view closed in a bit more on them. Just thoughts!

I built a table that links directly to bestbuy, walmart and target (http://kiernanvandoorn.wordpress.com/2011/04/01/where-in-the-world-can-i-buy-an-ipad2-now/) to check inventory levels. it helps, but with very little supply there isn't any good news hiding on the back shelf. And there are horror stories all over the next about bad practices like forcing customers to buy service protection plans just to buy from existing inventory. Apps don't need to be running if they're not being used. If the OS saves all work and opening an app is nearly instantaneous, then there is no difference between a running app or a closed app running some services in the background.
Nonetheless, the ability to turn the lights back on is a temporary transitional ability. It will no doubt be gone in the OS after Lion and only few people clinging to the past will look to turn them on.Until all applications support this new feature we may be in for a bumpy ride. Especially when users expect their current applications to behave the new way. Much like the heart ache we saw with the iOS 3 to 4 transition.

Have the idiots said why exactly they want to kill Planned Parenthood? Is it because they claim most of Planned Parenthood's budget goes towards abortion, (which is not true)? I was watching Bill Mahr last night and the conservative on his panel said that originally the Tea Bagger movement claimed to be about money, budget issues, taxes. An old saying in sales is that there are two things you NEVER discuss with a potential customer: Politics and Religion.
The reason is simply because many people have their own beliefs and views, and in the case of religion and politics, they are often very strong views, which they will defend militantly.
I personally don't care, or am the slightest bit offended, if someone wishes me a 'Merry Christmas', a 'Happy Kwanzaa', a 'Jovial Hog Raping Day', or any of the probably hundreds of 'holidays' that exist throughout the year.
For the purposes of selling Macs to people, I think it's best to simply say 'Happy Holidays' instead of 'Merry Christmas! Vote Republican!'
