remember though, you can't use the gpu's in OS X, only in windows right now. so the only way to use both gpu and cpu at the same time is in windows, unless you are good in linux, i've heard people getting it to work
Using WINE can work but it isn't easy, I tried and wasn't able to get it working. I will have to try again sometime.

S2 and S3 now supported. See the right sidebar on the raw page (http://www.apple.com/aperture/raw/index.html).
Annoyingly for me no EOS 400D support as of yet. So I still can't use my RAW files. I'm sure it's coming though :(

I can't download it, the "Download Mac Client" is just gray. Is it becaus i live in Europe?
Only the US client went live last week
the EU one was delayed for extra testing on the servers.
official dude on the blizzard forums said they hoped to release the EU client last night - but in the end he came back and said it would probably be today (Tuesday) instead.
But, seeing as they work West Coast USA time, that might mean it's unlikely to become available to us until the middle of the night tonight
i tried the pc client under boot camp - looked great, was a real buzz to playing the old game again with such nice graphics

Apple did the same thing with the DTK hardware... they released a "Software Update" version, with a letter revision to the same build #'s, and it was to enforce security and/or entrap those running the 10.4 Intel build on non-Apple P4 hardware. Get it? Apple Software Update connects to Apple servers, so they know exactly to whom/what/where their "update" is being sent and installed.... then they cross-reference those IP's against logs of ADC member logins (and this is only necessary when assuming the user submitted false info during the Leopard registration, instead of their real name/address). IP match? Boom! Gotcha.
Maybe they just want to see how many of those IP's belong to Microsoft's net. :rolleyes:

Apparently you don't understand just how more TVs are sold to people without iDevices. Yes, the iDevice crowd is thick here, but here is not everywhere TVs are sold. Many of our iDevice owners around the world are still awaiting the ability to rent ANY video via iTunes, much less to be able to rent it and then sling it to an airplay-enabled TV.

I have to agree with most here that Pages didn't live up to my expectations. However, I can't agree with you that Word has been perfected. Word is complete nightmare in certain situations. Its non-intuitive and not very user friendly in many cases (especially the windows version!). I do prefer it to Pages, but its by no means the best that can be done.
Keynote on the other hand is fantastic, and considerably easier to use and prettier than Powerpoint.

JD, nicely done. I love the vibrant reds and yellows with the softer-out-of-focus greens in the background. My eyes are drawn immediately to the almost star-like center of the red flower-of course, placed a the rule of thirds juncture.

I'd go with the Shinza one, as it is better looking and seems like it would absorb shock better. Ten bucks extra seems to be a reasonable price to pay.
I bought the foof bag (http://www.foofbag.com/), as I usually put my PowerBook inside of my backpack and I wanted something to protect it from scratches, etc. But it is a bit girly, and takes longer to get to you since it is handmade.

It's not. That is exactly what I have said in every post since the start. You are the one who said that a 200mm EF lens would produce a different image than a 200mm EF-s lens when mounted on the same camera. That is the quote is a complete sentence from your post. This was one of the most handy little apps that I lost when OS X hit the scene. Super intuitive, super effective.
I have Peak and Pro Tools and neither handle those simple, everyday audio needs like a SoundEdit 16 could.
I very much think there is an audience for Soundbooth and that it will be well received. Based on my experienced with SoundEdit 16, if Soundbooth were Universal, I'd more than likely purchase... immediately.

DVD's are obviously pretty profitable or they wouldnt bother selling them, so what they are saying is if the movie companies let Apple sell movies they are gonna cut off their noses to spite their face and pull a really profitable sales line? I dont think so - ********* idiots.

I'm picking up a g4 mini in the next couple of days that has been completely wiped clean.
I don't have any sort of monitor at home and was looking at hooking it up to my Panasonic plasma to set it up from scratch using a DVI - HDMI cable.
Will I actually be able to see anythiing without having an OS already installed or is it going to be a pointless exercise?
Should be fine, the plasma should behave just like any normal monitor. Although I use the VGA input of my Panny plasma to avoid HDMI handshake issues so that is always an option.

I was not sure where to post this, I have emailed MacRumors several times, but with no reply.
I can pull up the main page of wap.macrumours.com but when clicking next page I get a response unknown error with my Nokia 3200.
This also happened on my old 7210 phone too.
This would indicate non complaint wml code on the 2nd page, as this is the error Nokia's tend to give (they do not attempt to display non complaint code)

I've had general anesthisia about 11 times now (long story ...).
The gas is fine i remember once the anesthitist asked me to count to 10 whilst he put the mask over my nose and mouth. ( i reached 3 or so :D)
The IV isn't much worse (and i'm not a huge fan of needles!).
You do feel pretty groggy afterward when you come to, well i least i did, and its definately worth getting someone along to help take you home. They could just be there to pick you up and make sure you get into bed ok when you get home. You'll prob be asleep for a good 10 hours after that.
On the whole the administration of the anesthetic is not unpleasant.

Here's the gist of the problem: too generous state worker union pensions. I wouldn't be surprised that these pensions are extensively re-done to drastically cut its cost in order to reduce state budget deficits.
Really? Union pensions are the sole cause of states with financial problems?
So do you have any theories about why states without unions are having the same financial problems? Are these union pensions somehow crossing state lines into South Carolina and causing our budget shortfall?
And do you think that unions haven't already offered a cut in pensions and/or numerous other concessions?
