I wish people would actually read the letter before jumping on Apple's back! It clearly states: "While Apple, of course, has no general objection to proper use of the descriptive term podcast as part of a trademark for goods and services in the podcast field...."
That's how I read it too. The poll needs to be changed, right now it's like one of those Fox news polls:

If that were true we would all be buying Daewoo's right now.
And you'll note I didn't compare them to Mercedes, because I would have purchased the big Daewoo (the one with the Mercedes powertrain) if they imported it for under 20k.
However the 200MPH Yugo is just plain silly, and could be considered a cheap suicide note.
I just didn't want to get into the Apple vs. PC debate - because I lack the reality distorting drugs.

My white iPhone 4 is definitely thicker than my wife's black iPhone 4.

With that I showed a lot more professionalism than all these "experts" with their fancy measuring tools making conclusions about ALL phones based on the ONE they happen to have. The tool they all lack is the ability to draw logical conclusions.

3.1.1 is updating some of my contacts who aren't on Facebook and haven't got an email address assigned. It matches them to a seemingly random person's profile who I am not even friends with on Facebook!!

Here's the gist of the problem: too generous state worker union pensions. I wouldn't be surprised that these pensions are extensively re-done to drastically cut its cost in order to reduce state budget deficits.
Really? Union pensions are the sole cause of states with financial problems?
So do you have any theories about why states without unions are having the same financial problems? Are these union pensions somehow crossing state lines into South Carolina and causing our budget shortfall?
And do you think that unions haven't already offered a cut in pensions and/or numerous other concessions?

I would love some sort of flip/clamshell design. I've always hated the single flat slate phone design. I want a phone first not a PDA.

My Intel Mac Pro said that SMC did not need upgrading. My SMC Version is 1.7f8 as it should be. Some Intel Mac Pros may already have the SMC update done to them before they shipped. Mine was finished by about 9-8-06 & I received it on 9-12-06.

What you are saying are untrue stereotypes about Windows OS. Windows NT4, 2000 and XP are extremely stable and, if you like it or not, service packs realy work. Finaly that thing about new bugs is only in your imagination.

These brands do not have to overtly say that they are superior to a Kia, because that is accepted by most people. The average person invests more time thinking about cars, houses and clothing than they do about computers- face it, we're geeks. Apple is attempting to create, for themselves, a premium image that goes beyond people who are invested heavily in this kind of decision. Similar to when premium beers started hitting the market, or premium mens skin care products. Many people will tell you they prefer sam adams, though if pressed to tell you why it is better, many couldnt come up with good reasons (maybe taste). Same with Skin Care. I dont use the store brand stuff anymore, but I coudlnt tell you why the brand I use is really better- I know little about that stuff, so I have to go based on product claims. Most people arent that sensitive that they are going to cry when a commercial implies their purchase isnt as cool as someone elses.
Beer commercials do frequently point out that their competitors beers are crap- in a crowded market, you have to give customers hueristics. Computers are something that people put research into, but generally do not even understand what all of those things mean- trust me, I've been involved in many computer purchases for relatives and friends.

I wish Expos� would have been in iOS 4. I really don't like the current multitasking option.
I like it on my iPad but expose would have been much better.
Also, using gestures would make much more sense with expose; plus I think its a better experience overall. :)
