Hello :
My EAD expires on July 28, 2010. I have sent the application today with request to expedite with employer letter.
If I don't receive my new EAD card by July 28, 2010, then
1) Will/Should I stop working?
2) If I do stop working, what impact will that have on my pending I-485? Am I not OUT-OF-STATUS if I don't have a valid EAD?
3) If I continue to work, what impact will that have on my pending I-485? Am I not OUT-OF-STATUS if I don't have a valid EAD?
4) Can I continue to work/remain IN-STATUS as long as my EAD application shows "Approved" on USCIS website but I don't have the physical card with me?
Any response to these questions will be highly appreciated.

Summer travel season is around the corner, and unfortunately, because of the swine flu scare, each and every person entering India from USA (and some other countries) will have to go through a medical screening (http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India/American--European-visitors-to-be-screened-for-swine-flu/articleshow/4457075.cms) at the airports beginning yesterday. Some chaos is expected, particularly in busy terminals such as Delhi and Mumbai, given that "Airport authorities said they are still in the dark and are yet to gear up for these checks". So, it may be a good idea if those of you, who have just returned from India, share your experiences with this procedure; for example, the likelihood of facing stricter screening (or even a brief quarantine) if someone sneezes/coughs for any reason, or the "fitness certificate" forms that airlines are supposed to hand over to each passenger, etc.

Obviously it will fail...but at least we will do away with these "comprehensive" things and

they will not "do away" with comprehensive..... if it fails this year they will bring it up again next year and next..... there is no room for piecemeal...... if there were.... they would do it after cir failed in 2006, but they didn't..... they could do after cir failed in 2007, but again they didn't...... or they could do piecemeal in 2008, 9 or 10..... the fact they didn't .... it just tells us that we ought to learn something here..... there is nothing called piecemeal & there will never be anything called piecemeal in this leg of immigration reform, other than our own fantasy world.... so get over it...... there is only 1 way to do it.... cir

If the cause of wobble on your tripod is the effect of you touching the camera to change the settings, you may want to try the auto-bracketing [although if you have a P&S type camera, it may not have auto-bracketing], which takes three (or five) shots with varying levels of under/over exposure [you can select how much on each photo, and adjust where you start from by adjusting the overall exposure compensation, so if you set +/-1 stop and then start with +1, you get 0, +1 and +2 exposures of the same subject, taken in sequence by the camera...]

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.

I remember getting a similar email for H1B some 2-3 years back even though my H1 was approved and I already received the I797. No issues though, they just sent another I797. :)
I guess this can happen if their Database was restored to an older backup. So they had to go thru some of the processing again.

USPS won't do it for ever. But GC will surely take for ever.
I guess you already know but can't help to remind this :
USPS has a system of mail-forwarding. After leaving your old-address, if you notify USPS, USPS will continue to forward all your first class mails to your new address specified by you. You can do it Online @ usps.com... I guess they charge $1 for verifying your address from the CC address, if you do it online(which I did).
So, NO, your mails will not be lost!

Yes, I invited my parents and my wife invited her parents while we are in AOS status. Currently I am on AOS/H1B and my wife works on EAD. For her parents, we showed my wife as sponsor in I134. Both my parents and my wife's parents got the visa. They went separately.

I do not have a job currently so I can't get an EVL and my wife has and she is inviting and the I-134 is also from her...we have EADs valid till late 2010....she had her F1 valid till Oct 2009 but she is working on dependent EAD.

I am almost 100% sure that if you applied before your F1 status expired you will be fine (as long as you didn't work).

Is there anything like this, if yes can you throw some light on it.
As far as I know for any L1 to become H1 needs to apply in the new H1 quota.
L1A is for managers and you actually have to work atleast one year outside the US to apply for a GC (L1A - GC)
L1B is most commonly used (abused). There is no minimum required pay and has no cap. Moving from L1B to H1b is a nightmare.

Since you are a permanent resident (green card holder) now, H1-B petition must be denied. But, it should not matter.

You should not call 911. You should call the county police, they will ask you either to walk in to the nearest police station or some times you can ask the police officer to meet at a particular place. In my case I asked the police officer to come to the nearest Fedex Kinko's. He came to Kinko's sat with me and asked simple questions. The officers are usually very helpful and he/she will provide you a complaint no, and visiting card. You need this complaint no. when you are applying for a duplicate passport.

I am not an attorney, but I have seen people using 3 yrs of experience to count for 1 year of education. And EB2 category needs at least 5 years of experience in the job area in which you will be applying PERM.
Thus, 3 years of education + 3 yrs of exprience + 5 years of experience = EB2 category.
You will need an Expert letter for an accredited Evaluation to prove that 3 years of education+experience = 4 yrs of education.
I have myself not done it, but I have met few people in the past who did that.
And as far as second question goes, I have not heard anything like that at all. If you are inclined to do online course for one year, I suggest you to do Masters (1.5 years of education and .half year of research project).

My H1B expired in April 2008. My company is not willing to extend H1B any more due to the reason that I got EAD and I-140 approved and pending 485. Is it possible to get H1B extension from current or future company based on approved I-140? Or Is it too late?
You might wondering why do I need H1B now. I am not sure why I need H1B. Some of my friends who had trouble in their I-140/485 were able to survive with H1B. So, it looks like it is better to have dual. H1B and EAD.

If this happens, there will be some other type of insurance for the bank accounts that will be set up at that time, btw , if your money is in any of the sensitive banks it is better to move it out to more stable banks.

I think you have not read my question clearly. I suggest you read it before answering. I have not seen where the USCIS website asks for pending case numbers if we choose second option. I hope someone who has done this online can shed some light on this.

since this i believe is just a test shot i think most of what j said is spot on probably easier to just use a fill flash the 550 digital flash by cannon works great for that outside when you have shadows. in the future i would try composing with your subject off center some or filling the frame more to instead of hide her facial imperfections bring them out in high detail older people are far more interesting when you can see the wrinkles and imperfections of course these are all just my oppinions
